About Us

Our Credit Union was founded in September 1979 by the head priest, Father Jeong, Wook-jin, who was the chief priest of the Queens Cathedral in Rego Park. In 1992, with the construction of the new cathedral, we moved to Flushing, set up an independent building adjacent to the cathedral, and began to grow rapidly, including having a computer system. Unlike general banks, the purpose of the operation is to mutually help each other, and is strictly according to the regulations, but the micro loans and the checking account opening requirements are relaxed, and low priced fees are used to keep the Credit Union spirit alive. In 2017, we opened ourselves to these fellow Koreans based on such external scale, and started to play a pivotal role in furthering the economic development of the fellow Korean economy as well as providing the financial benefits of the Credit Union more broadly. We are confident that the credit union has provided a lot of financial support to Korean Catholics, especially those whose initial economic foundation is insufficient. Based on these efforts, we will continue to strive not only for Korean Catholics who are not receiving financial benefits, but also for all other ordinary people.
